Crude and expanded perlite for construction, filtration and horticulture

Perlite is a volcanic rock that, heated to around 900 °C, turns its trapped water to steam and expands up to twenty times in volume. Expanded perlite is extremely light and insulating, and is used in lightweight concrete, insulation, filtration and horticultural growing media. Crude perlite is also exported for expansion at destination, which cuts freight cost dramatically.
