Iranian natural zeolite is predominantly clinoptilolite. Its porous structure gives it a high cation exchange capacity, which is why it is used in soil improvement, livestock and poultry feed additives, water and wastewater treatment and pet litter. The clinoptilolite percentage and the cation exchange capacity (CEC) matter more than the appearance of the product.
