The PC/ABS alloy brings two properties together: the impact strength and heat resistance of polycarbonate, and the melt flow and better economics of ABS. The result fills large, thin-walled parts more easily while staying impact-resistant at low temperature — hence its use in car dashboards, laptop housings and engineering enclosures. The PC to ABS ratio is the main determinant of properties.
